NFT’s are taking the mainstream world by storm, after digital artist @beeple sold his piece of art at the astonishing price of $69 Million, a wave of new digital artists started to create NFT’s to capitalize on this new trend.
This new trend is also a way of `flexing`. Gmoney says: “With an NFT, by posting it as my avatar on Twitter and Discord, I can quickly ‘flex’ with a picture.”
Notable personalities who have built their fame in other industries generate considerable notoriety for NFT collectibles. In the last 30 days alone, there have been approximately about $2.06 billion in sales volume on OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace in the world.
Being part of a community is what seems to be the most valuable thing out of NFTs, the community is further strengthened by the fact that most avatar projects start with around 10,000 NFTs, automatically limiting the size, making it very exclusive to be part of it.
We round up some of the biggest names that are riding the NFT hype.
