Dogecoin Hodlers Urges adoption at McDonald’s

Dogecoin supporters are urging McDonald’s to embrace the cryptocurrency.

The official Twitter of McDonald’s has been immersed with solicitations to acknowledge cryptocurrency Dogecoin as a form of payment.

McDonald’s gave a reply that agitated the whole doge community with a post of the Dogecoin logo with a French fry in its mouth.

A petition was started on change.org to integrate Dogecoin as a form of payment at McDonald’s it counts at the time this post was written over 2k signatures.

After Tesla agreed to use Dogecoin as a form of payment on their site to buy merchandise, it created a lot of interest and there is also a possible collaboration with Starlink. Entrepreneur Mark Cuban also showed his high interest toward the meme coin, the Dallas Mavericks will soon be accepting the meme-based cryptocurrency as part of an agreement with crypto payment services provider BitPay, which is rolling out the coin as a payment option for merchants and consumers. Dogecoin users are now targeting McDonald’s to accept payment with the cryptocurrency.

McDonald’s is not new to the world of cryptocurrencies, on the contrary it has also introduced a NFTs collection to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the McRib, the company’s signature pork sandwich, on the other hand it has expressed, that it would keep on assessing the payment experience of its clients. It’s unclear whether McDonald’s will acknowledge Dogecoin as a form of payment.
