Meta has allegedly reported to integrate the NFTs in instagram and Facebook.
Tech giant Meta plans to integrate NFTs into its platforms, an integration that will allow users to show off their NFTs on their Facebook and Instagram profiles.
Unsurprisingly, Meta also discussed setting up a platform to buy and sell NFTs, given the number of users, this could be a new source of revenue for the company and another closer step to its leadership in the new Metaverse.
The news is all still in an early stage and nothing official has been released by Meta, so whatever your feelings on NFTs are, they’re here to stay, after amazing stories like the one from digital artist Beeple who sold his artwork Everydays – The First 5000 Days for an astonishing $69 million.
It seemed inevitable that Meta would push into NFTs at some point, especially as CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about how they’ll be part of the Metaverse, it was very clear that the company’s goals were geared towards being pioneers in the Metaverse, creating a new way to connect physical and online social experiences.
