The Titans of Tennessee accept Bitcoin as a form of payment.

The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team from Nashville, Tennessee. They are the first NFL team to accept Bitcoin as a form of payment.

This payment option will initially be available exclusively for strategic purchases made through a third-party conversion provider, the details of which we do not yet have. Season tickets or sponsorship campaigns, for example, will be feasible.

It’s a sort of trial period. However, the team expects to be able to expand these options in the future by allowing fans to use their digital assets to purchase single tickets, in-store merchandise, or food at the stadium.

Following a collaboration between the franchise, Bitcoin Magazine, and the UTXO Management investment fund, which was able to provide guidance, this service was launched.

UTXO Management’s David Bailey had this to say about the breakthrough:

“We are proud to partner with the Tennessee Titans as they begin their Bitcoin journey and offer fans a new way to pay. 2022 is a special year as we continue to work with professional sports teams to help educate and drive the mass adoption of Bitcoin. »
