Roblox and FIFA have joined to provide football fans metaverse experiences. We will see that this does not necessarily rhyme with “blockchain” and Web3, despite the fact that it once again attests to the interest in virtual worlds.
Introduction of FIFA in the Roblox metaverse
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is expediting its digital move by utilizing the metaverse after introducing a non-fungible token (NFT) platform. In fact, the renowned football organization announced a collaboration with Roblox last week:
⚽🎮🌍 FIFA and @Roblox today announced a new ground-breaking partnership that will offer the Roblox community, as well football fans around the world, free-to-play access to FIFA World – a virtual environment that celebrates the power of football.

Players of this 2003-released game may produce original material to share with the world. Through what it calls FIFA World, FIFA penetrates this cosmos in this way. Football-themed minigames will allow players to advance in this setting and get access to a variety of goodies.
FIFA World will modify its material in light of the approaching calendar for both the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand next year as well as the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
The project’s collaborator and FC Barcelona’s Spanish international Pedri offered the following insight on this novelty:
“It’s incredibly exciting to see FIFA and Roblox come together, and I look forward to being a part of FIFA World as it continues to evolve!” The football fans I see in the stands every week love to play and it’s great to introduce them to the FIFA World Cup in the digital space and interact with them directly in our Roblox world. »
